2020.08.14 01:48 Smallfry70 Need help with itemized deductions!

A new law in 2017 caps how much you can deduct for state income tax, property tax and personal property tax(vehicles) combined at $10000 when you itemize. In 2018 mine totaled $10949, therefore I was only able to deduct $10000 of that. For that year I received a state income refund of $1339. So in 2019 I had to claim that refund as income thus really only allowing me to deduct $8661 of my eligible $10000 deduction. How do I get credit for the $949 I was not able to deduct? I use HR block software? I have read up on recovering deductions in Pub 525 but it is like reading a foreign language. The worksheet is also confusing. Please help as I am already fuming that the cap is so low but I will always lose out every year.

Fill out the following information on each line that has an A: Q: RiF Version Number: A: 4.17.1
Q: Version of Android: A: 10
Q: Device Information: (Example: Manufacturer, Model, Year, etc.)
A: Google Pixel 3a XL, 2019
Q: How long has the problem been happening? A: I noticed this happening on my old LG G6, but assumed it was an artifact of how buggy said phone was. I don't know when I first saw it on that phone. I've been able to recreate this desync from day one of having this app downloaded on this phone (a couple months ago).
Q: What have you already tried doing to fix the problem?: A: It doesn't happen if I don't alternate between upvoting and downvoting, so it's easily avoidable during normal use.
Q: What steps, if any, can you do to reproduce the problem? (Please include a link to a post causing the problem.)
A: Can I link to a short YouTube video I made documenting the problem? Here.

So I had bought this monitor in 2017, used up until December 2019 when I damaged the screen moving my desk. Looked everywhere for a replacement panel for months, finally found one. It came in tonight and I swapped the panel out. Besides having one dead pixel at the top right I'm very happy to have it back working again.

2020.08.14 01:37 accomplishednobodys How are my neurodivergent friends prepping for potential shortages of our meds?

I'm a college student with severe ADHD. I know amphetamines have been on the drug shortage list since 2019, and realistically speaking this isn't the first time they've made the list. However, even if I manage to get a three months supply, I'm terrified they're going to stop production (I'm in an epicenter in Texas, so my brain is really up in Worst Case Scenario Land)
I only started taking them last year because my parents didn't believe in putting me on meds, so I know it's possible for me to exist without them...but it's just so much harder, you know? I don't even know how you'd prep aside from getting a three months supply.

2020.08.14 01:34 CMD2019 Back on babybumps for my second pregnancy!

I was here back in 2015/2016 when I was expecting my daughter. She's now 4 and I just found out I'm expecting my second child!
I'm only 4 weeks, so I haven't told anyone and likely won't for about 8 more weeks. It's interesting how different I feel this time around, though.
My first was very quickly conceived, unexpectedly on the first try after ending birth control. I was shocked and nervous more than anything. The first two years of my daughter's life I wasn't sure I'd ever do it again and thought she might be an only child. Then I started warming up to the idea and at the end of 2019 we decided we were ready to try again, but this time it took almost 8 months to conceive. I was surprised by the stark difference between my first time and this time - I felt devastated every month when my period came. Then finally this month it happened. I'm much more excited this time around and looking forward to it. Excited to share the news when the time is right. Glad to be back here with all you lovely ladies!

Little background: I am 22 years old and I graduated college in December 2019 with a BS in Psychology and Human Services, and a minor in Sociology. I loved what I learned while I was in college, but now that I’m graduated I’m realizing maybe this field isn’t for me. I don’t really want to go more in debt for a Master’s degree, yet I cannot find any jobs in my area (rural S. Dakota, USA) that pay better than what I make waiting tables. I originally went to school with the intention of becoming a counselor, but have lost the motivation to continue school. After realizing the expense of grab school, I added Human Services to my majors. Taking those classes my last semester showed me just how truly uninspired I am with social service and case work roles. I’ve learned in my job searches that I don’t really want an “on-call” job that takes up all of my time, yet I want to feel I’m doing more.
I’ve considered opening my own business, but I have no idea what that would be or where to start. I just feel completely lost and uninspired by anything. I have no clue where to go from here and feel my life is at a complete stand still until I figure it out. I don’t want to be a server my whole life, but right now it feels like it is all I have. Hoping there may be some advice or words of inspiration to help move me forward. Part of me wants to feel like I’m not alone in this scenario and just wonder if others have ran into my same predicament; same degree or not. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Disclaimer: I am LONG equity. Please do due diligence. This is based off of 60 minutes of quick analysis.
Company Overview
Xeris is a spec pharma company founded in 2005. Their primary scope of work involves developed injectable and infusible drugs.
2019-Present: Product Launch
Their first product was approved in September 2019, called Gvoke. It is a PFS and auto-injector that has glucagon, to treat severe hypoglycemia. This is market as two different products: Gvoke PFS (Nov 2019) and Gvoke HypoPen (July 2020).
Primary competition comes from tradition glucagon kits and Eli Lilly’s BAQSIMI.
BAQSIMI is delivered via the Nasal passage. Legacy kits are traditional syringe injections. Xeris has the advantage with both a PFS and auto-injector, which traditionally are well received with patients.

Legacy Kit

The most popular product will most likely be the two-pack hypopen (auto-injector). This carries an AWP of $673.92. For adults, the prescription is 1mg/0.2mL. (BAQSIMI cost is similar with 3 mg dosage, and legacy kits from LLY cost ~$280/kit)

Gvoke Micromedex
One overhang with Xeris’ financials is their long-term debt, which has increased from $58.3M YE19 to $109.5M 2Q20. However, principal payments do not start until 2022, and interest expenses should be below $10M for the year. Xeris should be generating enough FCF over the next two years to service their debt.
Valuation Takeaways
· Peak sales of ~$250M
· WACC @ 11%
· Positive EBITDA by 2026

In the beginning of S2E10, at Ben's funeral, it says the year is 2006.
However, in the previous episode when Ben was talking to Vanya in her mind, he said he had been dead for 17 years.
That would mean he died in 2002, not 2006.
So, what year did Ben actually die? Is this a mistake? Because the kids were born in 1989, they would be 17 in 2006, and in 2019 they would be 31, not 34, which would be the case if he died 17 years before 2019.
